fashion and friends! This month's party Level 23 is
celebrating with the Charity Chicks!!
10% of all sales will be donated to the Charity
Chicks and their wonderful community efforts. Bring
dental items as well to donate to the Community Care

It’s CLR game
night at Meg Brown Home Furnishings!
Join the Charity Chicks for an evening of fun
playing the dice game CLR.
Never played CLR? It couldn’t be easier…learn on the
spot.
It will be a great evening of fun, food and fabulous
prizes,
Who knows, maybe you will be the evening's big
winner!
Donation/Ticket: $15 a person (all proceeds benefit Charity
Chicks and the CCC!)…friends are more than welcome!
What to
bring: Please bring an appetizer, dessert, or
libation
(We ask that you keep the drinks clear so we can
keep Meg’s beautiful store clean! White wine is

Summer Book
Club

For our August 10th book club, we will be reading
the new Emily Giffin novel, “The Heart of the
Matter," so pick one up soon for a great summer
read! Location will be announced in the August

The CCC has an 8
year old patient, a little girl, who has been
recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease. (Check out
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coeliac_disease for
more info about the disease) Her family already
struggles to put food on the table, which will only
become increasingly difficult due to the high cost
of gluten free foods. She is malnourished as it is.
The CCC has asked us to collect PediaSure and
supermarket gift cards (ones to Whole Foods in
particular as they carry many gluten free products).
We will be collecting items starting right now!
Donations can be brought directly to the CCC (to
Heather Patton), or can be dropped off at the
locations listed below. Feel free to pass this note
along to friends and neighbors. This is an
opportunity to make a real difference in a little
girls life today.
DROPOFF LOCATIONS: tubs will be placed outside for
PediaSure products. Gift Cards can be placed in
mailbox or mail slot.

Center Volunteer Opportunities |

Do you
want to volunteer at the Community Care Center?? All
volunteers at the CCC are required to go through a
brief volunteer orientation/training session.
If you are interested in
attending one of these sessions please email
Lori Garretson at
lgarretson@charitychicksnc.com,
and we will work with the CCC to schedule
additional orientations as needed!
